This tutorial will teach you step by step how to setup outlook with your email accounts.
Procedure:
- Open Outlook. In Menu bar, follow Tools -> Account Settings.
- On the E-mail tab, click New(To add a new account) or double click on the existing account to edit account.
- Select "Manually configure server settings or additional server types" and click Next.
- Select "Internet E-mail" and click Next.
- Enter the following information for E-mail Accounts.
- Your Name: Account Holders name
- Email Address: Your email address
- Account Type: IMAP (try POP3 only if you do not wish our server to backup your mails)
- Incoming mail server: ? mail.domain-name.com*
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): ? mail.domain-name.com*
- Username: Enter your full e-mail address
- Password: If you wish for Outlook to save your password, check the box labeled remember Password and enter your password in the text field.
- Click "More Settings".
- Click on the "Outgoing Server" tab, and check the box labeled "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication". Then choose to "Use same settings as my incoming mail server".
- Click on the Advanced tab.
- Under Incoming Server (IMAP), the port number should be set to 143. (for POP3 the port number is 110)
- Use the following type of encrypted connection: None
- Under Outgoing Server (SMTP), the port number should be set to 587(If you are having issues change it to 25)
- Use the following type of encrypted connection: None
- Click OK
- Click Next. Click Finish.
* here, domain-name.com should be replaced with your domain name
