    Shopify Team Lead

    About

    As an Experienced Shopify Developer at WAC, you will play a crucial role in leading the shopify team and developing and maintaining our Shopify-based e-commerce platform. Your expertise will help us enhance user experience, optimize performance, and implement new features to drive conversion and revenue growth.

    Responsibilities
    • Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to implement visually appealing and user-friendly e-commerce websites on the Shopify platform.
    • Customize and modify existing Shopify themes to align with brand guidelines and enhance user experience.
    • Develop custom Shopify themes, templates, and components based on project requirements.
    • Optimize website performance, ensuring fast loading times and responsive design across different devices.
    • Integrate third-party applications and plugins to extend Shopify's functionality.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website functionality, payment gateways, and other e-commerce components.
    • Stay updated with the latest Shopify trends, best practices, and industry standards to suggest improvements and innovations.
    • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and consistency.
    • Improving processes continuously and introducing best practices.
    • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle. 
    • Creating the website architecture.
    • Conducting website performance tests
    • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers. 
    • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on other developers' work.
    • Optimize website performance and functionality
    • Collaborate with designers and content creators to create engaging user experiences
    • Implement best practices for SEO and accessibility
       
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Shopify development, including custom theme development, custom app development using remix, polaris & prisma, app integration, and performance optimization.
    • Proficient in Shopify CLI.
    • Proficient with version control systems (e.g., Git) and development workflows.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently on projects.
    • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and DevOps principles.
    • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and liquid templating language.
    • Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and server architecture (Apache or Nginix).
    • Experience with front-end frameworks like React or Vue.js is a plus.
    • Strong understanding of responsive web design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Effective communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical team members.
