Creating a Visually Striking and Easy-to-Navigate Website
Shalom World, the Catholic TV channel, has been a huge success for ShalomMedia Inc. The final piece of the puzzle for this client was a slick, user-friendly interface from Webandcrafts that would complement an aesthetically pleasing website. The designs must be thought out so that they do not look boring and generic, even to a recurrent audience.
Goal
Poising High-Volume Live Streams with Uncompromised Performance
The primary objective was to create an aesthetically pleasing user interface. With one eye firmly on the audience, equal emphasis was placed on the performance. Shalom's goal was to give its users the utmost freedom and control over their live-viewing experience while still providing them with an elegant and straightforward interface.

Challenges
Engaging Viewers through Content on Niche Websites
Earlier, Shalom World’s contents were only accessible on the official website. But this was considered a limiting factor by the client. They wanted their audience to be able to access the contents of the official website, such as prayers, live streaming, and on-demand videos, from other church and parish websites. This would significantly increase Shalom’s reach.
Users of Shalom visit the site on a daily basis, as it is a media outlet catering to a close-knit community spread all over the world. This called for the employment of particular technologies that ensured flawless performance. It had to be done while making sure that users belonging to different regions and time zones could access content according to their preferences. Moreover, the website had to cater to users from all over the globe when they were attracted by an important event without compromising on performance.Now this had to be done without letting the streaming load fall on the other Christian website.

Optimal Use of Resources to Ensure Cost-Efficient Production
Webandcrafts developed a widget that can be utilised by users of other Christian websites to access Shalom World’s content via their website. An array of specific technologies were employed to ensure that the other sites would not bear the load of accessing a content-heavy channel like Shalom World. We also ensured flawless performance, particularly when it came to live streaming of events. Edge-catching was a technique we used in specifically to achieve this goal. It was a monumental task to provide access to Shalom’s content on a website that wasn't created with the help of Webandcrafts, but we managed to pull it off.
An outstanding design approach was prioritised in order to create a user-friendly interface for Shalom World's mobile applications on both iOS and Android.
Webandcrafts also delivered a digital version of Shalom Tidings, their print magazine, via an impressive mobile app. Our crew made efficient use of all available resources to finish the website and mobile application on time without going over budget. Shalom World’s front end was developed with React JS, resulting in a responsive design that loads quickly and is simple to navigate for the user. WordPress was used for content management and other backend functionalities due to the platform's adaptability in managing and updating content.
Webandcrafts also developed a native mobile application for Android and iOS platforms to ensure a responsive and optimised experience for users.

Shalom was able to deliver the contents of their website to users in different parts of the world from websites other than their own not long after the website was built. They were, in turn, able to reach a wider audience on these Christian sites using a widget.
The new website was visually appealing, slick, and user-friendly. It could handle massive volumes of live streaming without compromising on picture or audio quality. Following the onset of COVID-19 and the subsequent imposition of travel restrictions and social distancing norms, Webandcrafts created SW prayer. This was a website dedicated entirely to prayer, which helped users attend holy masses, eucharistic adorations, and recitations of the rosary online on a regular basis from the confines of their homes.
